Hello! My name is Jack Falinski.

Born in Commerce Township, Michigan, I grew up most of my life in Howell, Michigan.

I attended Detroit Catholic Central High School from 2014 to 2018. In high school, I operated as editor-in-chief of the school newspaper, the Spectrum. I also played outfield on the varsity baseball team.

After graduating high school, I attended Michigan State University where I double-majored in social relations and policy (from MSU's James Madison College) and journalism (from MSU's College of Communication Arts and Sciences).

I organized several spring break service trips as a site leader through MSU's Alternative Spartan Breaks. I also participated as an active member in Kappa Alpha Pi, MSU's first co-ed prelaw professional fraternity.

Throughout my time at Michigan State, I wanted to pursue law school. For over a year, I was a legal intern at the Eaton County Prosecutor's Office. But when it came time to write a personal statement for law school applications, I didn't know why I wanted to go to law school.

I held off on applying and decided to take a gap year serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA. Through the VISTA program, I partnered with my Lansing, MI host site, the Capital Area College Access Network, to serve as a communications coordinator.

During my service, I realized that I enjoy strategizing ways for how to communicate information to an audience. From there, I decided I want to make it a career.

I enjoy golfing, cooking and spending time with family and friends. I'm a passionate baseball and college hoops fan, with roots centered around my Detroit Tigers and Michigan State Spartans. And most recently, I've become a vinyl record collector who finds joy in listening to and searching for hidden gems from the past.
